Whiskey-Glazed Mushroom Swiss Smash Burger with Garlic Butter Drizzle

Ingredients:

– 1 lb ground beef

– Salt and pepper to taste

– 4 slices Swiss cheese

– 1 cup sliced mushrooms

– 1/4 cup whiskey

– 2 tbsp brown sugar

– 2 cloves garlic, minced

– 2 tbsp butter

– 4 hamburger buns

Instructions:

1. Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and form them into patties. Season with salt and pepper.

2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties until they reach your desired level of doneness. Top each patty with a slice of Swiss cheese and allow it to melt.

3. In the same skillet, add the mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown.

4. In a small saucepan, combine the whiskey, brown sugar, and garlic. Cook over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture has thickened slightly.

5. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the butter until melted.

6. To assemble the burgers, place a patty with melted Swiss cheese on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a generous amount of sautéed mushrooms.

7. Drizzle the whiskey glaze over the mushrooms and place the top half of the bun on top.
