What is an aneurysm?
It is an abnormal dilation of an artery that can rupture and cause a serious medical emergency. It commonly occurs in the brain, the aorta, or behind the knees.
Symptoms that might alert you:
If it’s cerebral:
- Sudden and severe headache (“the worst of your life”)
- Double or blurred vision
- Nausea and vomiting
- Neck stiffness
- Loss of consciousness
