A comprehensive study published in the journal “Vaccine,” involving more than 99 million people in eight countries, highlighted several recurring side effects. The analysis also included French patients vaccinated with Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca.

Researchers observed an increase in neurological disorders, such as Guillain-Barré syndrome, occurring primarily after the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine. 

Cases of cerebral venous thrombosis have also been reported. This type of blood clot can block blood flow to the brain and often requires immediate medical attention. The COVID-19 vaccine appears to have triggered this condition in some people.

Other side effects associated with COVID-19, such as menstrual irregularities, have been reported after one or more doses of the vaccine. Heavy or irregular menstrual bleeding and unusual pain have also been observed. Initial studies suggest a link, but the exact mechanisms remain to be elucidated.

These symptoms may seem minor, but their frequency and duration make them very distressing. For patients, the link to COVID-19 vaccination is often obvious. However, they are frequently misunderstood by doctors.
