Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake
Ingredients
1 (15.25-ounce) box yellow or vanilla cake mix
1 (21-ounce) can strawberry pie filling
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
½ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
To make the dump cake, preheat your oven and grease a baking dish. Spread the strawberry pie filling across the bottom. Combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth in a separate bowl. Spoon this mixture over the strawberry layer and gently spread. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly on top, but do not stir. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, covering the surface as evenly as possible. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Allow the cake to cool before serving.
Tips for serving
Consider topping with whipped cream, fresh strawberries, or vanilla ice cream. It can be served warm for a soft texture or chilled for a firmer consistency.
