A pal of mine collects them. He pointed to a set from the ’50s that featured a tooled eagle that could have been at home on a Harley tank. Still strong. Still gorgeous. That’s the magic of vintage — it never wears out.

Boot straps, vintage ones at that, are rearing their heads again. You’re going to see them at music festivals. With cowboy boots, Docs, whatever. Some folks go full Western. Others throw them on for a cutting edge. No matter what your style, they do the job.
I don them when my outfit requires some personality. Even if I’m only going to get eggs.
