  • 3. Procedure for Preparing the Pepper Cordon Bleu

    3.1. Preparation of the Peppers

    1. Wash and Cut the Peppers:
      • Start by washing the peppers under running water. Cut them in half, removing the seeds and white membranes inside.
    2. Cooking the Peppers:
      • You can bake the peppers in the oven at 200°C for about 15-20 minutes until tender, or grill them for a smoky flavor.

    3.2. Preparation of the filling

    1. Stuffing the Peppers:
      • Once cooked, stuff each pepper half with a slice of cheese and, if desired, a slice of cooked ham. Close the pepper with the other half, forming a sort of “sandwich.”

    3.3. Breading

    1. Prepare the breading:
      • In a bowl, beat the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper. Place the flour in another bowl, and the breadcrumbs in a third.
    2. Breading the Peppers:
      • Dip each stuffed pepper first in the flour, then in the beaten egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs, making sure they are well coated.
