How to Grow an Avocado Tree at Home

Step 1: Carefully prepare the core

After eating your avocado, remove the pit. Gently run it under warm water to remove any remaining pulp. Next, identify the two ends: the top is pointed, the bottom is flat; this is the part to soak in water.
Take three wooden toothpicks and gently insert them around the pit, so that it rests on the rim of a glass filled with water, with the bottom submerged. It’s best to choose water at room temperature and change it every two or three days. The goal is to prevent stagnation and the formation of mold.
